Part of our students come from poor families and have parents who work abroad and therefore

most of them lack motivation for learning.

This project will be extremely beneficial to our students because their active attitude towards
learning can be cultivated so that some life-long learning skills such as problem-solving and selfthinking skills could be developed as early as possible.
We consider that interdisciplinary teaching is the best approach teachers might choose if they
want to build self-confidence and self-efficacy in their students. It is the best way to make
students passionate for learning and eager to develop their knowledge.
Students nowadays and our students are no exception to that are used to getting the
information easily, without much effort and this laziness will make them less prepared for real
life challenges. Through interdisciplinary study they will become able to learn by making
connections between ideas and concepts and to apply the knowledge they have acquired in one
school subject to a different school subject, thus deepening their learning experience.
The fact that we, their teachers, could be involved in such a project will make them see us as
models for continuous learning, for collaboration with colleagues from other countries and will
make them work from new and different perspectives. Moreover, the interdisciplinary study
represents real-world learning and not isolated educational experiences.
