Position Title: Broadcast Manager (Maternity Cover)

Current Post Holder:

Location: 215 Euston Road

Reporting To: Head of Special Projects – MHE

Key Objective:

Responsible for delivering the Broadcast Strategy to support MHE in achieving its
objective to engage the public with biomedical science.

Main Duties:

1. Delivering a programme of training and development, networking opportunities

and funding for programme development and production, in line with the Trust’s
Broadcast Strategy.

2. Achieving strategic goals through leading on an agreed programme of work

which may be undertaken in-house, commissioned or completed through a grant.
Supported by other members of the Department and, depending on the specific
aims of the project, by other Departments within the Trust.

3. Overseeing and reporting on the broadcast strategy, including both high level
reporting and the managing of budgets and timetables for individual projects.
Ensuring that all broadcast projects are managed within these constraints.

4. Advising on projects that involve broadcast across the Trust.

5. Building and maintaining a network of contacts within the broadcast industry and
working with these networks to support, develop and champion the Trust’s
broadcast programme where appropriate.

6. Developing and implementing new initiatives that support the objectives of the
Broadcast Strategy.

7. Maintaining and building the profile of the Trust’s broadcast strategy within the
industry and to the public, including overseeing appropriate marketing of the
strategy and ensuring information is kept up-to-date on the web.

8. Line management of a project officer

Organisational Relationships:

Working closely with other staff within the department and across the Trust. Line
