DUSK

By Michael C. Andrade
How solemnly does the sky undress
As the golden orb plunges itself
Into the glass-like sea
Accompanied by the evening songs
Of Nightingales!
Behold her half naked,
Draped with the colors
Of the crimson orb of heaven
Submerged in the crystal basin.
Then, shes veiled
With the mourning garments
Of a weeping widow
As if awaiting, wishing
For her death.
Stillness holds.
Then, requiem bells
Tolled.
