I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Hope Manuel.

In my former position of Community Relations Director for Curative Care Network, I supervised Hope
during her time as a Community Relations Assistant. Hope had a variety of responsibilities during that
time, including assistance with internal and external communications, fund development and reception
responsibilities.
Hope demonstrated effective writing skills while doing news and feature writing for the Curative Care
Network intranet. The intranet was updated multiple times each week with essential information for
employees located at multiple community-based sites as well as employees providing home-based
services. Hope also volunteered to create a news media information kit for the Community Relations
Department as part of efforts to increase news media coverage of Curative Care Network.
Hope demonstrated strong organizational skills during year-long preparations for an accreditation
review of Curative Care Network conducted by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation
Facilities. She served as the lead documentation coordinator for the accreditation process, edited and
formatted a lengthy manual of written responses to accreditation requirements, and assured that a
team of approximately 20 organization leaders complied with all writing deadlines.
I always considered Hope to be a conscientious employee with a strong work ethic. During the time that
I supervised Hope, she was an effective team member who frequently offered creative suggestions to
improve department performance. I would welcome an opportunity to work with Hope again.
