Micro-Aggressions

List of common micro-aggressions

Purposely mis-gendering someone

Youre not bi, you just havent chosen yet
Did you have a sex change? (or asking at all about someone's genitalia)
Well if youve never been with someone of the opposite sex how do you know your gay?
Im having my gay friend help me re-design my house so its gonna look great!
But your too pretty to be a lesbian
So do you like scissor, or do you use toys ?
What people do in the privacy of their own homes is none of my business

How to be a good Ally

Ask EVERYONE for their pronouns (you can do this by giving your own)
Do not purposely mis-gender people and consciously practice using peoples correct
pronouns and names
Do not use micro aggressions
Allow people a space to talk and share
Use your privilege to help others
Do not ask unnecessary questions

Q AND A
This is a safe space to ask questions. Please direct them towards
me and if anyone else has a personal experience and would also
like to share to answer the questions just raise your hand.
