Rain Clouds
Description
Materials
The children will locate the different objects that help our
bodies calm down in order to be ready to go to bed. They will
locate the pictures that are part of a bedtime routine. We will
then put the pictures in order to create a picture schedule of
a bedtime routine.
The children will roll the dice and then they perform the
activity that it tells them to do. The children will take turns
rolling the dice and telling the class what to do.
Have a grey rain cloud with blue streamers attached to it.
Have various pictures of different objects, and have a child
detect if it starts with the letter R or if it doesnt. If the picture
does start with the letter R it gets attached to the rain cloud.
A child will come up to the front of the room. When they hold
up the green paper, the children will walk very slowly till they
put up the red light, and then they will freeze where they are.
Then another child will come up and hold up the red and
green light. We will change how we move every time that we

We will read Rainbow Fish. We will talk about how we share
and take turns with out friends. We will also discuss how it
makes us feel when we share with our friends.
The teacher will turn on energetic music and call out different
commands for the children to do. For example, hop like
rabbit. The children hop like rabbits until the teacher tells
them something new. At that point they change and go to the
new command. The teacher will turn off the music at any time
and the children will freeze.
Children will follow the actions to the song Show me what you
Feel. Teachers will model what needs to be done and
participate with the children.
