Introduction:
WhatisS/4HANAEmbeddedAnalytics?
ItisasetofAnalyticalFeaturesintegratedinSAPS/4HANA,thatenablesuserstoperformrealtimeanalytics
onthelivetransactionaldata.Itcomeswithasetofinbuildrepresentationsofoperationaldata,calledVDM(Virtual
DataModels)whichwillallowuserstoarriveatbetterdecisionsfromtheavailabledata.

Itdoesntrequireaseparateinstallationorimplementationoranyotherlicenses.ItisapartoftheS/4HANASoftware
andisgenerallyavailablewiththenewS/4HANAreleases.CustomerscanextendtheexistingCDSViewsVDMs

andbuildnewones.

PleasebeinformedthatSAPS/4HANAEmbeddedAnalyticswillnotreplaceanyexistingSAPSolutionsandS/4
HANAhasanEmbeddedAnalyticalengine,butcertainsteps/activationneedstobedoneformakingthisengineto
work.

MostoftheoperationalreportingcanbedonewithS/4HANAEmbeddedAnalytics.BWwouldberequiredforEDW,
whichwillhelptoanalyzethehistoricaldata,dataconsolidationfrommultiplesources.
