This article is about scientists finally finding a cure for the cancer leukemia. When tested down at
the University of Pennsylvania two of the three patients had their cancer completely disappear
and the last patients cancer reduced by seventy percent. This cure is mostly based on the most
common type of blood disease, chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Until this great discovery
the only cure was a bone marrow transplant that only worked half of the time anyways. The way
they created the cure was taking leukemia infected white blood cells and inserted stronger genes
into them. Although this is a cure for leukemia, the researchers cannot give it to patients due to
the fact that the National Cancer Institution and several pharmaceutical companies refuse to pay
for research.
Bazell writes about this because it is an amazing discovery to have found a successful cure to
leukemia and to tell the world that they cannot go through with it because they cannot get the
fundings needed. This article gives hope to leukemia patients that they can take their life back.
This site is reliable because it gives hard truth about what is going on and sugar coats it in no
way, shape, or form. The NBC News is a strong news companie that just wants to give the truth to
all of the readers.
This story fits with the assignment because the assignment is to create bibliographies for a source
regarding success. THis sources story is about success because it tells about how the world is
finally creating cures for the unthinkable. The world has always had a hope there would be a cure
found but most people never actually thought they would see it happen. This source is helpful to
me because it gives me hope for the world and the cures as well as to give me an insight as to
what is happening in the science world today. It helps me shape my argument because it gives
reliable names, research, sources, and information that tells me this article and source is the truth.
This changes how I think about my topic because i had no hopes of seeing a cure for any cancer

in my lifetime and they did it, they created a cure for a cancer and this gives me more hope to
cures of various cancers in the future.

This article is about a ninety-one year old woman that earned her PhD after thirty years. It took
her three decades to complete her thesis. She was awarded the mark of high distinction for her
thesis and had to defend that in front of a jury at the University of Franche-Comte in Besancon,
Eastern France. The ninety-one year old woman worked hard for what she earned.
This site is resourceful for the assignment because it has true facts about many different
subjects.It explains how even though this woman had to take breaks and work over a thirty year
period, she still went through with her dream.
This article fits with the assignment we were asked to do because the article is about a woman
that no matter how hard it was succeeded and fulfilled her dream. It took her thirty years but she
still fought until it was done. This woman was not a quitter and she showed me not to be a quitter
as well. This is success because no matter what you have to do or no matter how long it takes
succeeding is success.

This story is about a six year old blind cat named Metu. This story is uplifting and a success story because
it is about a man that is also a hero. He has saved many animals but after the floodings in the Duncans
town and country home last week. Terry Duncan and Mike Roberts went through the second story of the
house calling for the cat. They found the cat and took him out of the home. When National Guard rescued
the Duncans they said they could not permit the rescue of animals at the time and only people were
allowed to be rescued. Although Metu was scared and unable to see, he stayed strong in the rough times
and hid underneath his owners bed.
While this article has interesting information, it has a lot of facts about the man that rescued he cat, Metu,
rather than that the article is titled, Blind Cat Metu Rescued after a Week in Flooded Home. This article
shows a lot of things that gives people hope in the world but is not true to its title which makes this article
slightly untrue. I wish the article would have talked more about the cat and less about the man because the
title did not say, Blind Cat Metu Rescued by Amazing Man that does this for a Living.
This website fits the assignment because it shows success very well. This shows no matter the situation
some people still care and are heros for the ones that cannot ask for help. Being a blind cat in a flood with
no one around to help you would suck a lot because you could not see anything and you could not be lead
anywhere or given any love.
