HITLER IS NOTORIOUS FOR HIS USE OF POLITICAL PROPAGANDA

Hitler is known for being a man with great power. Hitler had so much power that he
could direct everything from politics to military, and education to the economy, their most
successful sphere of influence was in promotion of anti-Semitism. He would remove thing he
didnt like or thought it was giving the Nazi a bad appearance towards the public. All of this is
part of propaganda. Propaganda was the tool by which nearly every facet of German life was
dictated.
Hitler wanted to make sure that he had control of everything.
"Propaganda tries to force a doctrine on the whole people... Propaganda
works on the general public from the standpoint of an idea and makes them
ripe for the victory of this idea. (Nazi Propaganda) Hitler did this to make
sure that everyone didnt know the truth. He was very specific one what
people were allowed to know. Propaganda also encouraged passivity and
acceptance of the impending measures against Jews, as these appeared to
depict the Nazi government as stepping in and restoring order. (Nazi
Propaganda). Propaganda tries to force a doctrine on the whole people.
Hitler for instance used propaganda to make everyone side with him, and
made everyone believed that he was the good guy, but really he was the one
hurting Jews. Nazi propaganda stressed to both civilians at home and to
soldiers, police officers, and non-German auxiliaries serving in occupied
territory (Nazi Propaganda). Hitler want the people love him and not want

them to the truth of what he was doing. He chooses what the people got to
know and what werent allowed to know.
Books that did not match the Nazi ideal was burnt in public loyal Nazis ransacked
libraries to remove the offending books. Hitler censored everything he would remove pieces of
art, books and movies for example. Posters were a powerful means to simply communicate
the main Nazi policies, through simplified and metaphorical imagery (10 Most Evil
Propaganda, Techniques used by the Nazi). Hitler wanted that Nazi to be portray as good
people. He had artist portray them as almost heroes. The radio broadcast was recognized by
the Nazis as one of the most important propaganda tools in their arsenal (10 Most Evil,
Propaganda Techniques used by the Nazi). Hitler would go to many measure to make sure the
word got out that the Nazi were doing right even though they werent. This way he could
everyone hear about the Nazi. Hitler would control the press by Newspapers have always been
a powerful means of influencing thought and opinion (10 Most Evil, Propaganda
Techniques used by the Nazi). Newspapers were commonly purchased in an era. This was a
major part of the propaganda during the war, Hitler himself praised its effectiveness.
Propaganda within Nazi Germany was taken to a new and frequently
perverse level. Hitler was very aware of the value of good propaganda.
Propaganda might take the form of persuading others that your military
might is too great to be challenged; that your political might within a nation
is too great or popular to challenge etc. (Propaganda in Nazi Germany). To
ensure nobody in Germany could read or see anything that was hostile or
damaging to the Nazi Party. To ensure that the views of the Nazis were put

across in the most persuasive manner possible. The essence of propaganda
consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the
end they succumb to it utterly and can never escape from it. (Propaganda in
Nazi Germany). Those who opposed the Nazi Party had to be convinced that
it was pointless continuing with their opposition. Hitler thought it was to
ensure that the people were won over or intimidated into accepting Nazi
rule. Propaganda is not an end in itself, but a means to an end. If the means
achieves the end, then the means is goodthe new Ministry has no other
aim than to unite the nation behind the ideal of the national revolution
(Propaganda in Nazi Germany). Those who opposed the Nazi Party had to be
convinced that it was pointless continuing with their opposition.
Why was Hitler so successful at political propaganda was because he would control how
the Nazi were portrayed in books, films, art and radio. The people would only get to see what he
what them to he was very selective about this. It also helped that a lot of people feared him. Nazi
propaganda kept the public under control. The propaganda machine told the public what to think
and how to react. It was tool to keep them in a group thought process. Once the public was under
like a "spell" of the Nazis.
