Smart Goal one: I will improve reading skills among students during the class by different

strategies.

Core Objective for Goal one:

Using various strategies to develop student skills:
Reading is one of important skill in English subject more than other skills of the languages. If the
child is good in this skill, so he also is good for reading in other skills such as writing, speaking
and listening. Moreover, we know that some student hates to read stories, passages, and
paragraphs, and they think that it's very hard.
The student learns from the different style of teaching also different professionals teachers
around the stages from grade one to grade 6. Reading strategies it's one way to help the student
to develop thinking and imagination also to make a side of people, also reading is important to a
student because it can improve English phonics and spelling.
As a teacher for me the reading skills is very necessary to create a complete and professional
classroom includes all skills in English and teaching them about the important parts of these
skills. Also, a student can try to speak with the loud voice and read the textbook or passages
incorrect ascent. I try to give each Wednesday a story to read it during the class if they finished
their work or as homework.
I applied this strategy because from me what I did in teaching practices I saw the different level
and abilities in grade 5 student which mean that some student is excellent to writing and speak
but when they read they cant say the words. So, reading short stories and summary what they
understand its created and develops their reading skills.

My plan:
Firstly, I observations all classes that I have and saw what they did with the teacher when they
were reading the passages or words on the board.

Then, I sited with my teacher Nawal and asked her about the student levels, abilities and what
they interest in the class that linked with reading.
Also, I used to plan for two lessons using the different style of reading for the student if its on
the screen on the board or using a book to read on it.
Moreover, connect with the parent each Wednesday the children have to read a story that I gave
to them and summary it.
Finally, using much suitable to encourage and motive the student to know and trying to improve
the reading between them.

Teaching Competencies:
Competencies one: the teacher can understand and evolutions the student levels by their
choosing for the reading and linked with the objectives that contact with them.
Competencies two: teachers can analyzes and building the student background by text
structures.
Competencies three: showing for the teacher how they can introduce their organizations of
ideas by summarizing and reading aloud.

Elimination of Strategies and resources:

Strategy one: using optical assistances materials to introduce for the class the new vocabulary in
the textbook.
Resources teaching assistances:
Using videos, images, PowerPoint and cards.
Strategy two: using audio assistances
Resources teaching assistances:
Using different voices, songs, recording and videos.

Strategy three: using personal assistances.

Resources teaching assistances:
Using really objectives of new words
Creating and draws the summaries or mind map of central ideas.

Reflection
I believe that reading skills are a one key of teaching and learning to the student. During my
teaching practices, I did different strategies to help and develop my student to reading the
vocabulary or the textbook one of my is to evolution the student level from how can they
summaries and answering the story. So, after the story, the student analyze the main ideas and
the moral of the story what they learned about it, and I understood and learned that student
should to try what they can of abilities to improve their skills by working hard.

Description
During these teaching practices I achieve the most my goals in this semester, but I next semester
I hope to have all my goals active and have distinct classes that develop my student skills in
English class.
