Hired as full time teacher in May 2007 upon completion of student teaching and
graduation. Continued to carry out differentiated instruction in all academic areas for
class sizes up to 28 students, including English language learners and students with
special needs.
After 7 years of teaching in the elementary classroom, I transitioned into a leadership
role as Data Instructional Technology Coach during the summer of 2014 in Oak Park,
Illinois. Since then Ive been actively contributing to professional learning and
supporting a 1:1 environment. Additionally, Ive dedicated time, planning, and ideas as
they pertain to our School Improvement Team, Professional Learning Committee, and
representative of the RTI team.


Key Contributions
Attended and Presented at the National Title I Conference 2013, Nashville,
Tennessee; School received National Title I Distinguished Award.
Nominated for and volunteered time as a FAB 40 Member & iLead Member
Contributed a substantial amount of time learning our districts online grading
system, InformationNow/STI, creating help pages and screen castings on how
to, and conducting workshops.
Support Teachers in maximizing their ability to navigate our SIS, PowerSchool
Analyze test data from Discovery: ThinkLink Benchmark tests, Fountas & Pinnell,
to help gear my instruction. Additionally, use test data to differentiate my
instruction as a response to intervention.
Support teachers in pulling MAP data from NWEA.
Implementation of a 1 to 1 MacBook classroom, using the device as a learning tool
in an effort to differentiate and personalize learning.
Utilize Google Apps as a form of assessment, collaboration, and sharing with
students and colleagues.
Pulled and organized a substantial amount of data including unexcused tardies to
class; live data dive, update weekly including current GPA, MAP information,
attendance, subject area letter grades, trimester GPA.
Referenced the ATLAS Protocol for looking at student data while meeting in both
large and small groups.
Infused a backchannel during building meetings when addressing large
audiences.
Presented SAMR at a staff meeting both introducing and engaging.

Introduce and supply students with appropriate Web 2.0 tools including, but not
limited to Padlet, Wordle, Penzu, Storybird, Class Dojo.
Administer and manipulate programs such as IXL, SumDog, Successmaker by
Pearson, Reading Plus, Lexia, Mathletics.
Implement guided reading groups and close reading as well as targeted math
groups based on daily assessment.
Collaborate extensively with team members and colleagues in order to
appropriately transition toward the Common Core Standards.

Collaborate with Professional Learning Committee in an effort to plan and


organize Institute Day(s).

Quarter Course:
An advanced study of instructional technology, the Internet, and how combined they can be
integrated into classrooms and curriculum. While correlated with the Illinois Professional
Teaching Standards in Technology, the opportunities offered in the course will allow the
teacher do gain competence in the application of these standards. Emphasis will be placed
on Standard 5, integrating advanced features of technology based productivity tools to
support instruction, extend communication outside the classroom, enhance classroom
management, and become more productive in daily tasks. Knowledge of basic PC and Mac
functions is required.
