Create a QR Code Hunt

b. Use geographic grids to locate places on maps and images to answer
questions (DOK 1-2)
The objectives of this assignment are:
1) To help students review for their final test over the United States States,
Capitols, and State Abbreviations.
2) To review facts about the states.
3) To help students not only know the United States States, Capitols, and
State Abbreviations but also locate them on a map.
4) To engage students in a review session of the United States States,
Capitols, and State Abbreviations in a fun and interactive environment.
5) Students become more familiar with technology.
6) Activity facilitates a research environment using technology.
7) Students become familiar with using QR codes.

3. Determine how you want students to proceed through the QR


code hunt and what they are to do with the information or
what they are to do at each clue. Describe your method here:
I will place the QR codes around the classroom. I will divide the students
into groups and have them search and scan the QR codes. The QR codes
will ask them a question about the United States, states, state capitols,
and abbreviations. I will ask them to record their answers on the correct
location on a blank print out of the United States. At the end of the
activity, I will show them what their map should look like. This activity will
serve as a review for the test over states, state capitols, and state
abbreviations.
