ASSIGNMENT DEPORTMENTALIZATION

The pioneers of management proposed that

organizational activity should be specialized and grouped
together . Specialization give rise to experts who needed
to be coordinated . The coordination work could be done
by placing the expert together in one department under
one manager . In organization have 5 methods of
departmentalization which is functional
departmentalization , product departmentalization ,
customer departmentalization , geographical
departmentalization and process departmentalization .
The other paragraph, will explain detail about this five
method of departmentalization .
Firstly , functional departmentalization , in this method
divides manpower . According to the main functions in
the organization . It can be used by all types of
organizations .
Secondly , product departmentalization in this method
every product is placed under a senior manager who is an
expert and responsible for all matters related to that
product .
Thirdly , customer departmentalization . This method
is used on the assumption that the customers in each
department have common problems and needs which
can be managed by ONE expert .
Fourthly , geographical departmentalization . This
method is very valuable if the companys customers span
a wide area .

The last method is process departmentalization . In this

method groups all activities based on work-flow or
customers .
The all five method of departmentalization will help the
organization success and their operation will be smooth .
This-method will guide the organization based one what
method they are choose and where they will be perform .
The organization also can measures their performance
weather there are in success stages or fail stage .
