1) Wrote CAT in my final year of engineering. Scored a meagre 94 %tile.
2) Wrote CAT again. Scored 99.5 %tile. Didn't get a call from any of the old
IIMs. Decided to continue working and give it another attempt.

You should get at least 6 hours of time daily for your preparation. As you
mentioned that you are doing a 8-9 hr job, make up your time on your
weekends. Sacrifice your weekends.
Start with basics. NCERT books will give you that.
Finish reading them and go for big books.
