Having the two standards above fulfilled in a lesson is vital. Students need to be
taught at a young age that we are all created equal and the color of your skin
does not control you. While Mexican is the underrepresented group, we are
touching base on important Hispanic figures who have came from Mexico and
Puerto Rico to the United States and made huge impacts on our world and
government. By the students learning how leaders influence our world, they
will gain knowledge in the aspect of equality and respect for our classroom.
shaping our world. However, they are not all the same color,
nor do they look the same. Two are from Puerto Rico and
one is from Mexico.
* While looking at this board, children will notice that not all
history making people are Americans. There are Mexicans
and other Hispanics who have also changed our world.
* This will give the students confidence and courage without
having to worry about being the underrepresented group.
This will boost the students self esteem.
