Evaluation Plan- How will
you know students have
mastered your objectives?
The students will be assessed through the worksheet that they will complete towards the
end of the lesson. Additionally, teacher will make observations while they walk around
during the pre and post activity.
What formative
evidence will you use to

during this lesson?
What summative
evidence will you collect,

Who is
The teacher will review the different types of 3-D shapes and their
responsibl attributes, referring back to the chart we created last week.

classroom?
The teacher will then encourage the students to to search the room
in pairs to search the room for a three dimensional shape.
The teacher will then ask the pairs to explain their rationale behind
their choices.
The students will then transition back to their desks to begin the
powerpoint activity.
The teacher will display a powerpoint that contains different real life
pictures of three dimensional shapes. Asking questions about where
the faces, edges, and vertices are located.
The teacher will then pass out a worksheet where students will be
responsible for noting the number of faces, vertices, and edges for
each.
The teacher will then play a quick round of shape ZAP to check for
understanding, stopping to address misconceptions.
The students in this classroom are love to investigate and learn about the world around
them. For this reason, the opening activity is a classroom investigation. Additionally.
students love to play ZAP to review concepts and this helps them to make meaningful
connections to the information presented.

For students who need enrichment in math, I will have them work on the bonus problem
using the strategies applied to the other problems. Additionally, I will utilize them to
assist in helping other students who are struggling.
For students who need intervention in math, when the student work independently the
teacher and peers will provide additional support.
