Description of Activities and Setting

Students, we already know that a person can have more than one
feeling, and what some of those feelings look like among peoples faces
and actions. Today students we are going to talk about character
feelings. These are the words we use to describe the way a character is
feeling in certain situations. The teacher will give the students time
before the reading to think about different feelings someone can have.
Today students, I am going to read the book Me First. Make sure you
are paying attention and think about the main character and how the
character is acting throughout the story. The teacher will ask questions
before reading and after reading the story.
The teacher will begin by asking the students to look at the front cover
and the title of the book and have the students predict what the story is
going to be about. The teacher will read the story out loud to the
students. Remind the students to pay attention the main character and
how he is acting throughout the story.
After reading the story, the teacher will have the students turn and talk
with a partner and discuss who the main character was and what
happened in the story. Have the students comeback together and talk
about the actions of the main character and the feelings he was
showing. Have the students explain how they know that the character
