Additional Victims of Nazi Persecution (Non-Jewish)
Hitler and the Nazi Regime had slaughtered so many innocent Jewish people. But were
they the only ones to suffer in those days of tragedies? Many other ethnic, religious, and others
were persecuted because of what they were or what they believed in. They had all suffered
because a man didnt like what they were as a people. So lets see what many people had to deal
with in those tragic times in history.
So the Nazi Regime has done many terrible things to people that they saw were inferior
to them. One of the groups of people that had a hard time during the reign of Nazi Germany was
the Roma (Gypsies). They were persecuted for many reasons, one including that,The Sinti and
Roma had been persecuted for centuries(Evidence #3). So the Nazis were doing what people
before them had been doing for years. It was kind of like a niche type of thing, where when one
power stops to terrorize a race, another picks it up. Also,The fate of the Romani people
paralleled that of the Jews after the beginning of World War II: systematic proportion and
murder(Evidence #3). So the Nazis had the same plan with the Romani people as they did
with the Jewish people. They viewed them all the same, as inferior being to the Iranian race that
needed to be eradicated from the earth once and for all. Another was,First, western European
Roma were resettled in ghettos. Then they were sent to concentration and extermination
camps.(Evidence #3). So the Romani people had to suffer the same fate as the Jewish people
at the time, relocation or extermination. This was highly racist and insensitive, with many other

people having to go through what the Romani and Jewish people had to go through during
Hitlers reign of terror. But who else had to face this suffering as well? Lets see what else Hitler
did to torture the people.
So we have seen Hitlers dislike for a certain religious group, but had any other religious
group had to go through the suffering that the Jewish people had to suffer? Yes there was such a
group, and they were the Jehovah's Witness. Hitler wanted them gone for a number of
reasons. One of them was, Hitler felt particulary threatend by this strong group of
Christians because they, from the beginning, refused to recognize any other God other than
Jehovah(Evidence #1). The Jehovah's Witness has always been a steadfast group who did not
waver in their beliefs or their way of life. What this meant was that Hitler may have a slight
problem with these people throughout time. A way that they were dealt with was, Jehovahs
Witness had to wear a purple armbands and thousands were imprisoned as dangerous
traitors because they refused to take a pledge of loyalty to the Third Reich(Evidence #1).
So now Hitler and the nazi regime has completely alienated them into dangerous people to were
the civilians of Germany now dislike them. They did this with the Jewish people as well,
showing how they turned ordinary civilians into rejects of society and of life in general. Lastly,
The Nazi incarcerated Christian church leaders who opposed Nazism, as well as
thousands of Jehovah's Witness who refused to salute Adolf Hitler or to serve in the
German army(Evidence #2). So Hitler was completely against everything that the Jehovah's
Witness stood for, because they had refused everything that Hitler wanted out of them, and they
was their loyalty and dying support. So what he did to those people were to dispose of them in
any way that he saw fit, whether it be death or encampment, he didn't care a single bit for the

people he was torturing. So was there any more people that had to suffer? The answer is yes,
there is plenty more where that came from.
So there has been many more people that the Nazis had tortured in their life, one of them
was the homosexuals. One reason was, Because Hitlers plan for a great master race had no
room for any homosexuals, many males from all nations, including Germany, were
persecuted, tortured, and executed(Evidence #1). So Hitler didnt want homosexuals in his
master race because in his eyes they served no purpose. They wouldn't produce a baby of Hitlers
master race, so he got rid of them in many ways. One thing that they were put through was, The
homosexual inmates were forced wear pink triangles on their clothes so they could be easily
recognized and further humiliated inside the camps(Evidence #1). So not only had they
been put into prison, but had to wear a symbol that people thought were shameful and
embarrassing. Lastly, Between 5,000 to 15,000 homosexuals died in concentration camps
during the Holocaust(Evidence #1). Now that is not as much as other numbers that the
Holocaust brought. Yet it is still bad for about 15,000 to die for no reason but their sexuality.
Lets wrap it up.
So we have seen just how many people who were non-Jewish suffered in the Holocaust.
The Nazi Regime under Hitlers guidance had committed large to small scale genocide, weather
it be to races, religions, or lifestyles. The human race must and should learn from the mistakes
and tragedies of a man with a crazy mind and idea, and hope we will all accept one another as if
family.
