This Week-

Language Arts- This week we will be focusing on grammar skills and writing shorter responses to questions.
We will also look at ways to boost scores on our writing test by using figurative language.

We will also continue learning about measurement and converting units of measurement.

Science- This week students will review Matter with Mrs. Prince. We will also begin reviewing heredity.

Reminders-

1. Missing Assignments- We still have a great deal of missing assignments. Any students who would like
to attend the Midterm Motivated to Move Animal Show must turn in all missing assignments by
Wednesday morning. Any student who has missing assignments after that point will forfeit the
activity and if assignments arent done by Friday they will also forfeit Fun Friday. Attached to this
newsletter is a copy of the missing work sheet and any hard copies of assignments that are missing.
This sheet needs to be signed by a parent and returned on Friday with this weeks homework.
Any assignments with SAGE in them can be accessed from www.sageportal.org
College Project rubric can be found on the class website
King Mitas Test and End of Year Benchmark can be found through the pearson website

2. Please pay attention to your childs grades on SIS- Midterm grades are coming out soon. After the
two study halls this week (during the midterm activity and Fun Friday) there will not be any time given
in class to make up assignments. Review activities and assignments can also not be made up after SAGE
testing.
3. SAGE Testing Dates and Times- Please be aware of the dates and times below for our SAGE
testing. We also have testing first thing in the morning, so it is very important that all students are on
