The Arkells Grant Wishes of their Biggest Fans

Hamilton, Ont. September 29, 2015 - Local Hamilton band, the Arkells, are on everybodys radar right
now with the release of a new video for their single, 11:11. With the release of this song, the band has
announced an 11-day long Twitter contest that allows fans to tweet at the bands twitter handle
(@arkellsmusic) with the hashtag #arkells1111 and the number of the wish of their choice from a set list the
band created themselves. All entries into the contest are also eligible to win their grand prize of a trip for two
to see them live in London, UK on 11/11.
We wanted to show our appreciation for the greatest fans ever, said Max Kerman, lead singer of
the Arkells. We put a lot of time into our music and our fans give it back. We wanted to show them how
much they mean to us by creating a contest that lets us spend time with our fans and return the love.
Mike DeAngelis, the lead guitarist of the Arkells reinforces all the love that Max and the other band
mates feel towards their fans. We never expected our music to take off like it did, and its all because of our
amazing fans! This contest is just a way to show our appreciation for getting our music heard. We have a
bunch of wishes ranging from us walking your dog to performing at your home for you and your friends. It
was a lot of fun developing this contest and we hope our fans have as much fun as we did!
The Arkells are a Canadian alternative rock band born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. Breaking
onto the scene in the mid-2000, the band has since toured with big hitters such as Metric, The Tragically Hip,
and Tokyo Police Club.
