Diction
...but is there a difference?
Is Ebony implying that Bill Cosbys career is shattered or is our idea of the
character Heathcliff Huxtable now destroyed?
...but what do these shows all have in common?
Out of all the rape accounts Victim 29 is the most flawed. I do not
condone rape or molestation, but if they were indeed raped, why come
forward now? Cosby is 77 years old and blind, why now?
If Ebony would have placed the picture of Michael Browns body lying
face down in the middle of the street as the cover, would that be
acceptable?

Pathos, Ethos, Logos

Pathos: HeathCliff taught young fatherless boys how to love,
lead, learn, and laugh. Clair taught young motherless girls
how to be poised, fearless, intelligent, and attentive.

Ethos: I am not a valley girl that comes from privilege and I

could not relate to the story line, but like many others,
through The Cosby Show I see myself.

Logos: 60s Fat Albert was in the minority, but now were
looking at 60 percent of kids being overweight,"

Effect: Evokes feeling of

grief or sadness.
Effect: Establishes my
credibility as a young
black female learning
and growing and how

shaped my life.
Effect: Supports the
claims presented in the
text to defend the
legacy of Bill Cosby.
