Read stories of letter sound /y/, /ks/ and /qu/. Divide children
with three groups to sing the songs with pros e.g. /y/ with
yogurt pots and spoons, /ks/ with x-ray cameras and /qu/ with
headbands of ducks in the pond. Focus on the key words:
yogurt, yo-yo, yarn, x-ray, queen, quilt and quiet. Put real
toys or pictures in a box and ask children to match them to
the correct baskets of letter sound. Show pictures and words
of the seven key words: yogurt, yo-yo, yarn, x-ray, queen,
quilt and quiet.
