After reading the short excerpt, I have figured out that the author is trying to
understand whether dental hygiene is a necessary thing, or just something that we do just
because of social pressure. If we just purchase toothpaste and toothbrushes just because
we need to. If we are just wasting money buying these objects. Is this true or is it just
something we do because dentist say it is healthy for us. A way for them to make money
and thrive. The author wants us to believe this to an extent. It could be compared to many
things that the Higher Ups want us to beloved is good for us, but in all actuality it does
not make a difference. The author seems to be unhappy about dental hygiene.

From reading this article I can summarize what it is about. The article is based off
of people not being able to afford dental work. The government is turn steps in
and tries to offer free dental work for those who cannot afford it. But people are

not happy with this decision. They compare it to having free medical work. This
article is based off the early 1900s where people did not have all the medical
insurance that we have now. So I can sense how much it bugs them and how
much people have progressed from back then.

In this article the phrase the toothbrush is the most septic object in the bathroom
is used multiple times. The author also explains how the toothbrush is full of bacteria and
When people use it to brush their teeth, they just continue adding that bacteria to their
mouth. The author also explains how people need to be educated about your toothbrush.
You need to change it out every three months, and ensure that you take care of your
mouth. So what does the author really mean? What else does he tell us about dental
hygiene? Digging in deeper to the article, I found that the author is just trying to inform
the audience about the bacteria that accumulates on your toothbrush. You think that it is
good for you, but it actually just because of how it affects your health. I think the author
did an amazing job and I do not sense a type of bias the author has against brushing.

In this article, the main focus is on providing health care for veterans. Dental
health and any kind of medical care is just too expensive for some veterans. Yes, they

may receive some sort of retirement, or maybe nothing at all. The author believes that all
veterans should receive these benefits, which is understandable. The author explains
some of the statistics for these costs, and genuinely just in favor of helping out veterans.
He believes the costs of dental work is too expensive, and believes that veterans should
have a right to receive free dental work.

According to this article only about one third of children with Medicare go to the
dentist. It also says that they are not sure how many times they go to the dentist either.
What needs to happen is better access to medical care, and other things as well. The
author also mentioned that every state had below a fifty percent average. The author
seems to be attacking Medicare to a certain point because he mentions that a
representative from Medicare. The representative says that they have increased the
amount of insurances they offer to kids, but there has still has not been a change. Maybe
the author is trying to get a reaction from the company, or just trying to get them to
increase the amount of coverage that they offer.

This article focuses on the lack of dental care and specifically on the gaps among
racial groups. Rates of preventive care were 77 percent for Asian Americans, 76 percent
for whites, 62 percent for Hispanics and Native Americans, and 57 percent for blacks.
This tells us that there is a huge gap and it is all influenced by the access of education,
and financial resources. So what can we do to close this gap? Some of the issues are
caused because people in the dental professions choose not to work in some communities

and areas. We can help people get access to these resources. Help parents and children
get the education they need, so they can have access to the financial resources.
