Summer Programs (High School Students)


Stanford Youth Medical Science Program
The Summer Residential Program is an annual five-week science- and medicine-based enrichment program held on the Stanford
University campus. The program is open to low-income and ethnically diverse high school sophomores and juniors who live in
northern and central California.

Upward Bound Program


Upward Bound projects provide academic instruction in mathematics, laboratory sciences, composition, literature, and foreign
languages. Tutoring, counseling, mentoring, cultural enrichment, work-study programs, education or counseling services designed to
improve the financial and economic literacy of students; and programs and activities previously mentioned that are specially designed
for students who are limited English proficient, students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in postsecondary
education, students with disabilities, students who are homeless children and youths, students who are in foster care or are aging out
of foster care system or other disconnected students.

The Gates Millennium Scholarship

GMS supports its scholars in a variety of ways, including but not limited to, personal, leadership, and professional development
opportunities, networking and mentorship opportunities, as well as financial and academic support to prepare scholars to be the next
leaders in their professions and communities.

Dell Scholarships for College-Bound High School Seniors


Awards 300 scholarships annually and since 2004, have provided students with over $60 million in college scholarships and support
services. The Dell Scholars Program places greater emphasis on a students determination to succeed than just academic record and
test scores. Their GPA requirement is Grit, Potential and Ambition. Reward low-income, highly motivated students who are better
than their numbers indicate and demonstrate the drive to succeed despite personal obstacles. Scholars have demonstrated grit,
potential and ambition in their quest for a college education. You don't need the highest grades to apply.

Ron Brown Scholars


The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to

Imagine America Foundation-Educational Scholarships


More than 1,000 career education campuses participate in the Imagine America Scholarship and Award Programs. If you are a
student enrolling in one of these schools, you could be eligible to receive a scholarship or award. IAF provides high school
scholarships for graduating seniors, scholarships for adults for 19 year olds and above, and grants for military. By offering
scholarships for students, we help thousands achieve their dreams. Lastly, each year, every high school in the United States and
Puerto Rico may nominate up to five graduating seniors to receive an Imagine America scholarship.

Elks National Foundation-Scholarships


Ranging from $1,000 per year to $12,500 per year, Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree,
on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of
award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.

Burger King Have It Your Way Foundation-Scholars Program


The Burger King Scholarships are awarded to eligible students, student employees of Burger King, and their families throughout the
United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. High school students and Burger King employees who are considering financial aid for

COCA-COLA SCHOLARS FOUNDATION - Scholarships


THE COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school
seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact
on their schools and communities. With the 27th class in 2015, the Foundation has provided over 5,550 Coca-Cola Scholars with
more than $56 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.

EDISON INTERNATIONAL
Through the signature scholarship program, Edison Scholars, were awarded nearly $5.3 million in scholarships to 520 students since
2006. Last year, they awarded $1.2 million in scholarships to 30 high school seniors who plan to major in STEM fields: engineering
(electrical, mechanical, civil, computer, industrial, or environmental); computer science / information systems; or environmental

Financial aid makes up the difference between what college costs and what a family can afford to pay. Approximately two-thirds of
full-time undergraduate college students receive some sort of financial aid.There are three main types of financial aid:

Loans that have to be repaid


Grants and scholarships that don't have to be repaid
Employment programs, such as work-study, that allow students to earn money and gain job experience while still in school
