Adding a gradient.

In order to start a new design open photo shop and click new. This will enable you to choose your size dimensions and also open a new blank piece of paper.

Enter the size you would like the piece of paper to be, make sure it is in CM 29 height and 21if you would like the piece of paper to be A4.

You then end up with a blank piece of paper, this is now ready for you to add your pictures or finish your design.

To add a gradient to your page you must click the box shown above, a gradient is a gradual change in colour.

Choose the colours you would like to fade into each other on your page. Make sure you click ok.

Click the piece of white paper and choose which direction you would like the colour change to come from, once you choose this let go. You then get a piece of paper which two colours on, I am using this as my back ground.

Step By Step.

Adding text.

To add text you click on the T on the menu on the side.

Draw a box where you would like your text to go and write your righting in it.

To make your writing a different font or a bigger/smaller size highlight the writing and choose the font or size you would like.

To add a border to the font you must double click the text, this will bring up another box in which will allow you to add a border.

This box will be brought up in order for you to choose your colour you would like the border to be.

It should look like this when it is finished.

Adding an image!

To add an image, Click File and open from the top left hand corner of Photoshop. Document.

It brings up this box, this is all of your documents in which will allow you to choose your pictures.

The photo will then open up as a new file, you must add it to the back ground in order to allow a background and photo together.

Click and drag the images to add them both together.

Your image will then be on the piece of paper, you must crop of rub out all of the unwanted piece of picture.

You then end up with your image and back ground on the same piece of paper.
