H.N. : During my placement at Credit Valley Hospital, I have collaborated with my nursing instructor, fellow students and nursing staff to
ensure that I comply with the regulations created by the College of Nurses (CNO), Humber College and Trillium Health Partners. I
understand that I am obligated to be compliant, knowledgable and informed about these various standards in order to practice as a nurse. I
have learned that these standards are in place to protect the public, nurse, nursing profession and institution. I am aware that if I do not
adhere to these regulations, I jeopardize the health and safety of the patient. This semester, I learned many valuable lessons pertaining to
the importance of following all regulations created by the college and institution. Since, I have continued to work diligently to ensure I meet
these standards. When necessary, I review the Humber PN Student Handbook and various CNO practice and professional standards to
further my knowledge and understanding. In future semesters, I will continue to demonstrate competence regarding the various
regulations created by the CNO and Humber College. I will continue to review and utilize the resources provided to ensure compliance. I

my placement at Credit Valley Hospital, there was an incident in which I did not comply with the CNO practice standards pertaining to safe
medication administration. I actively engaged in many hours of self-reflection relevant to safe nursing practice. I identified the problem and
I implemented strategies with the guidance of my instructor to prevent a repeat incident in future. I also utilized this time of self-reflection
to identify my strengths as a nursing student and why I decided to pursue nursing as a career. I identified my some of my strengths
