As chair of the English Department at Owosso High School, I have had the opportunity
work closely with Steven Neal. From his first days at OHS, Steven has impressed me as
exceptionally dedicated to learning the craft of teaching and integrating himself into the
culture at OHS. In addition to his attendance and participation at all required staff, school
improvement, and English Department meetings, he has also been active in following up
on important issues concerning school policy and curriculum. Steven has also
demonstrated that he is committed to the district initiatives of engaging students as
inquirers and active learners.
