The Bourne Legacy by Eric Van Lustbader

Once again, David Webb, a professor of linguistics at Georgetown University is

wrenched away from his pursuit of a normal life to become enmeshed in a complex
international plot as Jason Bourne. An unknown enemy sets him up to look like the
murderer of a high level CIA contact who was his mentor. Jason has to run hard and fast
to absolve himself as well as solve the mystery of why and who is behind it all. In the
process, he rockets around Europe eluding the CIA, DIC, FBI and all other police
agencies. He deals with a variety of villains, including a Chechen terrorist group while
encountering his bitter long lost son. A trail of bodies and variety of unsavory characters
are encountered.

He is subjected to unspeakable torture from the malevolent mastermind, Stephen Spalko,

Director of Humanistas Ltd, a Budapest based worldwide relief organization who is
trying to take over the world by employing a prototype biological weapon. There is
danger, action, intrigue, excitement all spiced with frequent twists and turns. The Bourne
fan has another breath taking adventure spread before them that successfully concludes
with a return to the status quo.
