News7: (2014- Present)
LSCTVs Emmy award winning news organization provides twice-daily live newscasts of local
and regional news and weather via cable to over 9,000 subscribers in rural northeastern Vermont
and northern New Hampshire. The News 7 operation is driven entirely by Lyndons Electronic
Journalism Arts majors with limited oversight by EJA faculty.The station is a CNN award school
affiliate, subscribes to the Associated Press news service and students utilize Avid iNews, Avid
NewsCutter and the Panasonic P2, DVCPro and AVCHD formats to produce each newscast.

News Photographer
Work with a reporter to tell a story with strong visuals.
Comfortable shooting in field with different angles and focal length using a
Panasonic p2 camera.
Responsible for editing VOs, VO/SOTs, and Packages under a deadline
Director
Support all technical aspects of live nightly broadcast
Work with producer to ensure rundown is executed as outlined
Video Journalist
Responsible for all aspects of visual storytelling from concept through broadcast.
Reporter
Arrange and conduct on-camera interviews
Produce packages, VO/SOTs, and VOs on deadline
Web Reporter:
Gather and contribute digital content to support a repurposed broadcast story.
NewsLINC:
NewsLINC is the online media extension of the Department of Electronic Journalism Arts awardwinning News 7 operation. NewsLINC offers advanced EJA students the opportunity to hone
their newsgathering skills in a web-based environment. Students produce stories collaboratively
for the website www.News7newsLINC.net with fellow reporters and photographers from News 7.
The goal of this initiative is to build and maintain a community eJournalism website for the
greater NEK community to use as a source for local news.
