I will great the students - then, I will ask them to do some exercise to
make them engage with me and to be active when we start the lesson.
In this lesson, I will focus on the vocabulary. First, I will explain for
them each word on the power point by putting the meaning and
picture that related to the word and I will ask them to repeat it with me.

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)


Reading activity: read and stick ( whole class Group work )

Materials:
- Work sheet (A3).
- Sentence cards.

Instructions:

The activity is about read and stick. Each group will have a worksheet
(A3) which includes different pictures with eight sentences.
I will explain for them what they have to do. The students
in the group will read the sentence then, they will find the
picture that related to the sentence and they will stick it.
After finishing, we will answer it together.

Objective:

1- Students will improve their reading when they will read the sentences t
stick it.
2- Make students collaborate with each other during the activity.
Reading and writing activity

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


Low level activity: Reading activity (three students)

Materials:
Sticks.
Meaning cards.

Instructions:
I will give each three students eight stick of ice cream.
Each stick has a word on it. Also, they will have eight
colorful ice creams. Each one has a meaning on it.
I will ask them to read the words on the sticks and
find the meaning on the ice creams then, they will
work to gather to find and stick the meaning.
After that, they will write the words on the paper.

Objective:

1. Students will improve their reading when they will read the
meanings and writing when they will write the words.
2. Students will identify the meaning of each word
by find the meaning.
3. Be able to know the meaning of each word
when they will stick the ice creams to appropriate stick.
4. Make students collaborate with each other during the activity.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)


Middle level activity: Reading and writing ( individual)
Materials:
- Pockets.
- Word cards.
Instructions:
Its about build the sentences. It will be individual.
I will give each student pockets and word cards. They have
to order the word cards in correct way and put it under the pocket.
After that, he or she will read it then; will write it on the paper.

Objective:
This activity will help students to improve their:
1- Reading skills: when they will read the words to make the
sentence.
2- Writing skills: when they will write the sentence.

Independent Experience(small group activity 3)


High level activity: writing (individual)

Materials:
Work sheet for writing.
Instructions:

Its about a caterpillar, individual activity. I will give each student one
worksheet about caterpillar with the words paper, the caterpillar have
three circle; in each circle they have to do something (word Sentence
Draw). Students have to choose one word to write it in first circle then,
they have to write a sentence about the word after that, they have to draw
what they wrote.

Objective:
Students will improve their reading skills by reading the words.
Students will improve their writing skills by write the sentence

Activity 4:
Reading and speaking Activity (whole class )
Materials:
vocabulary cards

Instruction:
This activity will be for all groups but two students from each group will
participate and others will help them. First, I will put four words
(vocabulary) in each part of the carpet then; I will give each group a small
box of definition. After that, I will choose a student from each group and I
will till for them to come and stand up on one part of the carpet. After tha
I will asked them to read the word that on the carpet in a clearly voice
then, they have to go back to their group to find the meaning with the
group members. When they found it they will come back to the carpet and
read the word with the right meaning.

Objective:
1-Students will improve their reading skills when they will
read the words and meanings.
2-Make students collaborate with each other to find the
meaning.

I will make review for the lesson to make sure the students are understood
the lesson.
We will count together how many stickers each group get.

Assessment
- Matching activity about the new words. It will be individual for all students. The
student have one minute to finish it. After finishing the activity, I will give for
them a sample of the answers to make students assess themselves then, I will
say for them; if your answers are all correct make your thumbs up and if you
have two wrong or more make your thumbs down.

Reflection WWW/EBI
The lesson that I explained for the students was about vocabulary words. I did for them some exercise to engag
them with me. I explained the new words for them by using a power point which includes: picture, meaning an
the word. I did for them activities to make sure they understand the lesson. I went well during explain the
vocabulary words with different kind of activities. Even better if I managed the behavior of some students
during the class.
Next Steps in learning and teaching
In next step I will try to manage the behavior of some students by using new rules.
