Reflection 8

1. How long do the children spend on one task?

2. What kind of tasks do they do individually? In pairs? In groups? As a
class?
3. How does the teacher introduce the task? How are the instructions
checked?
4. Work with a child. Ask him/her about what they enjoy doing at school.
The activities/subjects and why.
5. Ask a child about the things they are good at and also about what they
want to learn more about.
The children are spending time doing different tasks depending on their skills
and abilities.
The teacher (MST) separated the children according to their ZPD (Zone of
Approximate Development). This means that some children individually and
some prefer to work in groups. For instance, responding individually after the
story telling time. The teacher inquire questions and she gives the chance for
the children to respond randomly.
The teacher uses flash cards and key words to elicit the information
regarding the topic of today. I like the way my MST uses to check the
instructions. She is using her eye contact and repeating the questions to
check if the children get the point of view or not.
Child Hassan likes joining different events and competitions in the
kindergarten. He told the reason behind that is to develop and construct his
performance and skills.
He is well catching the pencils and knows how to write the difficult letters. He
wants to learn more about each letter with the connected words.
