In 2011, a few local general contractors decided that collectively they had much to gain by merging their companies.
With the staff, equipment, tools and knowledge between
them, DJM Contracting Ltd was born.
Now DJM Contracting employs 15 to 35 qualified carpenters and four full-time office staff. The combination of resources allows DJM to focus on larger commercial and institutional projects while continuing to bring their expertise to
quality custom projects and extensive home renovations. The
merger also gave them opportunities to offer their skills and
knowledge throughout the Kootenays and Okanagan.
Offering lump sum contracting, general contracting, design build and construction management, DJMs tradespeople perform a broad spectrum of services such as concrete,
framing, finishing work and exterior cladding.

In 2004, Guy LaBossiere retired from Riverview Chev
Olds. Together with the Bannister family, Marc Cabana purchased the dealership and Champion Chevrolet was born.
Marcs love for the car business started just after high
school when in 1989 he began selling cars for Sunridge
Nissan in Calgary. From 1990 until he moved to Trail in
2004, Marc further developed his experience at
Woodridge Ford.
Starting his own dealership, Marc took special care in
interviewing many of Riverviews longtime customers. He
delved into what they liked about the dealership and what

and have been managing it for five.
