Part one: Four Questions:
1) Why was the literature so in depth for children at this time? I feel
like a child would not be able to comprehend what is being
conveyed.
2) What caused the shift from what was almost like a chapter book,
to the short, picture filled books we have today?
3) Why were texts so biblical based back in this time?
4) These texts were very to the point, what did children use to form
their imaginations with, since today you see imaginative books.
Part two: Patterns
Some patterns I noticed in the stories were very melancholy.
Characters either died or were severely punished. The point that was
being put across was like; if you do this, then this will happen. Or if
someone acts this way then this is the repercussions.
