When writing this paper I came upon a great deal of information that has supported my theory.
My hypothesis has been one a thought in my mind for quite some time, I can finally now combine
all of the evidence I have found into one compelling argument. My proposal has far less luster
than my thesis, because its a question everyone is asking. I have found the answer, and I know
its a controversial one. This proposal has taken a great deal of time to assemble, but Im sure
with some help from peer editors and the advantage of facts on my side, it will open the minds of
at least a few more intelligent readers.

The Hypocrisy of a Generation and the Survival of Racism
Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different
race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. The undying conflict, the war of the
races, the battle for equality. Just about every American knows the word, it is taught in our
schools, spills out of the media, and shrouds our politics. After many political debates and
societal arguments, countless riots, and immeasurable coverage by the media over time, I have
finally decided to ask and attempt to answer the question everyones been asking. What form has
Racism taken in the United States and why does it survive? I have done the research and I doubt
many readers will like the answers, but the question can and has been answered.

Bigotry has plagued every civilization, it exists in every culture, and continues to endure
throughout history. Many people have been misinformed about things such as the African slave
trade (which originated in Africa and was started by Africans), or the teachings of Martin Luther
King Jr. Somehow historical fact has been convoluted and taught in a manner that has developed
deep resentment and ideas of entitlement. The peaceful teachings of Martin Luther King Jr. have
been exchanged for the radicalism of Malcom X. The KKK has been replaced with Black Lives
Matter, and the NAACP has become an oppressive power and the victims of the past have
become the villains of today.
In order to appreciate the answers to this question one must have a basic understanding of
history and racial discrimination as well as an understanding of current events. I understood
American and world history to a working extent in order to make an educated hypothesis upon
which I could research and understand. History can be studied in a variety of ways, the most
accurate being comparable recordings and accounts that produce the most unbiased retelling of
events and times. I used a variety of books, lectures, lessons, teachers, documentaries, and
firsthand accounts to compile a reasonable knowledge on the subject of racial history.
This question is the truth behind all of the controversy and hate that exists between the
races inhabiting the United States. Violence, murder, and crime fester in this conflict. It is the
fate of our country that hangs on this topic, whether we out a nation united or house divided.
This conflict must be settled.
I have found and recorded facts from a variety of sources, such as news accounts,
organizational announcements, public records, state research, surveys, police data, and coroner
accounts, as well as federal and private studies. Using these mass amounts of data I conducted
my research thoroughly, and found what ultimate truth the facts accounted for.

What causes racism and bigotry? Are humans innately prejudice? Is it wrong to
stereotype? What stereotypes are true? Do preventative measures against racism instigate more
racism? Is the NAACP fighting fire with fire? Is Black Lives Matter a hate group? IS the rest of
the world facing this problem? Does talking about racism cause divisiveness? Why do we make
exceptions for those who have never been oppressed themselves? Why do we divide ourselves
and not just all identify as Americans? Are people intolerant of intolerance?
All of these questions and more came up within my search for answers. Like all great
puzzles, often one must solve and piece together many parts before the whole picture is
assembled. I have found that the hypocrisy on this issue can be answered only by truly
understanding the psychological, social, and historical relevancies to the United States attitude
on bigotry. Many of these questions originate with the idea of who is right and if the problem is
exists at all. The final questions are who and Why?
Every decent citizen wants a peaceful nation. Our United States is currently
anything but peaceful. History is repeating itself, racism has been reincarnated into the from pf
new hate groups, the targets have changed and the power has shifted. Lincoln described the fate
of a divided nation, and his prophetic words may prove true with the fate of America hanging in
the balance.
We as citizens have been seeking change in regards to racism, its time to understand
where this problem lives and how to finally end this conflict.
