Should Dinosaurs be resurrected by Mankind?

In a persons childhood, the idea of the mighty dinosaurs that once ruled the
earth usually captivates the young minds of children seeking wonder in the world.
Of course, the race of dinosaurs was eradicated by unknown causes and with this
loss comes disappointment for many. However, with modern genetics research and
DNA obtainable through fossils, the race of dinosaurs is able to become reborn at
the hand of humans. The question that stands with this resurrection is whether it is
ethical and I tend to believe that recreating these beasts of wonder will benefit the
world we live in today. The field of paleontology will learn every question they had
of the extinct dinosaurs and advanced genetic coding and splicing will lead to
greater human scientific advances
For centuries, archeologists and paleontologists have studied and debated
the meaning behind the bones left behind from dinosaurs. Hunting patterns, group
dynamics and trophic levels have all been disputed and no person can make a
definitive claim due to the lack of living specimens. With the resurrection of
dinosaurs would come the answer to every question a paleontologist has posed in
the past. With this knowledge, the evolutionary chain of many modern animals
could be filled in by observing the species with common vestigial structures and
common ancestors. With this recreation, evolution may cease to be a theory and
ascend to become undisputed fact.
With the additional research required to recreate dinosaurs as clones, it would
benefit the human population as well as the dinosaur population. A process called
gene splicing is required to make clones in which scientists would need to fill in
gaps in the genetic code of the dinosaur DNA. Mastering this art of splicing in
genetic code would allow us to further understand cloning and possibly lead to
widespread uses of cloning in the future. Cloning In the future could bring about
imperative military strategies in which the clones would be used to fight battles,
instead of actual people dying for their country. There are also non-aggressive
benefits from this research into splicing. Cloning in the agricultural industry could
lead to higher crop yield and allow farmers to produce only top quality meat for
fraction of the current market price.
Some people may argue that dinosaurs are too ferocious and do not deserve
another chance of life in the modern world. I believe that containing these animals
would be more fruitful then never giving them the chance to live. Of course when
people think of the resurrection of dinosaurs, their minds go towards viewing the
idea in a biased fashion from movies like Jurassic Park. However, the recreation of
dinosaurs does not need to be as catastrophic as the cinema presents it. The very
first dinosaurs to be born would have to be herbivorous until we have a full grasp
upon their recreation process. With the carnivorous dinosaurs recreated, the

dinosaurs would need to be quarantined on an island with no human population and

be subject to the theory of lysine contingency. The lysine contingency is a failsafe if
the animals do break free and requires them to be fed the chemical lysine every
time they feed or they will perish. With this failsafe comes the security required to
study these animals in their natural environment.
Dinosaurs are an advent of the modern world that represents the primitive
and chaotic age of the world. With the recreation of these animals, they cease to be
the scapegoats of ferocity and become something that will enthrall and benefit the
human population.
