Four years in college pursuing an undergraduate degree and planning to continue

my education in pursuing a graduate degree, what have I learned? Plenty! Plenty
that I can apply directly to the Police Officer position with the Charlotte Mecklenburg
Police Department.
The drive and focus to achieve: I am driven to succeed, especially completing my
bachelor degree and preparing to pursue my graduate degree. I want to step right
into an organization where I can showcase my organization skills, willingness to
learn and problem solving skills. Succeeding in my bachelor degree with a 3.0 GPA
and other accomplishments highlighted in my attached resume has given me a
chance to try new things and to reach out and help those in my community.
Flexibility and creativity: When you hire me, you get someone who is a creative and
critical thinker, who is not afraid to suggest new ways to approach a task as I did as
the Vice-President of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Rho Chapter at Johnson C. Smith
University as well as other leadership positions I have held. Experience interacting
with the students, staff and faculty gives me the exposure I need to succeed in the
Police Officer role. My experience of being involved with the Kennedy Charter High
School at JCSU, the Boys and Girls Club, volunteering with Charlotte Mecklenburg
Schools, assisting with the JCSU health fair, being a member of the National PanHellenic Council in addition to the Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society, as well as helping
conduct several events in the Health and Human Performance Club can be essential
to this position and where I can be an asset to the program.
