foldable.

STEP 1: Create a clever mnemonic to remember the levels of classification

For example:

CLASS
ORDER
FAMILY
GENUS
SPECIES

kings
play
chess
on
flat
green
stools

WRITE YOURS ON YOUR BOOK TABs

STEP 2: Sign up for an organism. Follow the provided directions to create an

eight tab foldable about your evolution storybook organism.

STEP 3:
Use the following website to determine your organisms classification

http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/classification/Animalia.html

K:
F:
P:
G:
C:
S:
O:

STEP 4: Each page of your foldable should include

* Your organisms classification,
* A list of organisms that share the same level of classification
* At least one picture of an organism that shares the classification

STEP 5: Work backwards - the G. species name goes on the species page with a sketch of
your animal
Genus page - name of one other animal in the same genus as your animal & sketch
Family - name of 3 other animals in the same family and sketch of one of them.
Order - name of 3 other animals in same Order & sketch of one of them
Class- name 3 sketch 1
Phylum -name 3 sketch 1 show variety

Kingdom -name 3 sketch 1 show as much variety as you can at this level

For Example:

Sketch a
different
picture on each
page
Work from
your Genus
species pages
to Kingdom

Well make a class cladogram. Youll tell structural similarities that place you
close to your closest neighbor and differences that place you far from one
classmates animal.
