Purpose
Assess current trends and scores to determine
Local School Plan for Improvement goals.
Look at teacher and student demographics to
identify changes of subgroups.
Determine areas of growth and target areas in
need of improvement.
Look at aggregated and disaggregated data
closely and allow teachers to create annual
goals using best teaching practices to
increase student learning.

Past Trends in Student Demographics

Results Indicate:
There has been a 6% decrease in the
White population at Brookwood High
School since 2012.
There has been a 3% increase in Hispanic
Students.
The population of Black Students has
changed from 20% to 26% in the past
few years.
The Asian/Pacific Islander population has
increased by 1% as well.

What this indicates:


Our passing rates are a strength.
Our subgroup data indicates
weaknesses within the same groups as
mentioned earlier.
In this area, we are ranked 4th rather
than second in the county.
Although we exceed the mean %
scores in the state, we need to
continue working to raise literacy
(reading, writing, speaking) as part of
our annual goals to meet our LSPI
goals.

Subgroup Results indicate:


Male and female score are comparative.
Strengths
Biology seems to be a strength as well as overall scores are higher as
compared
to many other schools in the county and state.
Weaknesses:
Free/reduced lunch students scored significantly lower than nonfree/reduced
lunch students.
The Hispanic, Black and American Indian subgroups show lower
scores than
other subgroups at this time on SATs and other tests.
We need to continue to provide help for any at risk students via
Acedemic
Intervention to strengthen our weaknesses.
Future Plans:
It appears that reading, writing and math could be target areas of
improvement to
