Experience
January 2014 - June 2014
Newman Elementary, 1269 Colorado St W, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 - Teacher Intern
I completed a concurrent college internship for Salt Lake Community College with Vikki
Eccels first grade class. I would assist Vikki for 2-4 hours by doing paperwork, working
on the computer, and working one on one with the students. A big part of doing this
internship was communicating with the children on an intellectual level and disciplining
them on a constant basis. Keeping kids focused on what they needed to do was also a big
role I played.
February 2016 - April 2016
Nibley Park Elementary, 2785 800 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84106 - America Reads tutor

I enrolled with Salt Lake Community Colleges America Reads program and was able to
get a tutoring job with the tutoring center at Nibley Park Elementary. Every week day I
would be assigned a student who was struggling academically with reading skills and
given the task to help them with the resources provided to me. I would use methods such
as having them read out loud, play phonics games, and helping with reading assignments.
February 2016 - April 2016
Nibley Park Elementary, 2785 800 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84106 - Teacher Intern
I attempted a concurrent college internship for Salt Lake Community College with Lisa
Owens third grade classroom. My job was to work for 2-4 hours every Tuesday and
Thursday in whatever way Mrs. Owen saw fit. This would include looking over a group
of students, reading with students, helping complete paperwork, grading, and observing
Mrs. Owen teach her classroom as well as taking notes for my college courses.
