countries including Moldova, the United Kingdom and the U.S.A. We chose this topic
because we were interested to find out new things about people from around the world.
Our objectives were to learn how those 3 nations differ and what similarities are between
them. We divided our speech in 4 sections:
1. General characteristics
2.Famous celebrations
3.Traditional Clothing.
4.Conclusion
It is known that every person who lives on this planet is different; we have different beliefs,
views about things and personalities. But now we wont speak about that, we will speak
about defining characteristics of Moldovan, British and American people.
Moldovan people are very hospitable and hard-working although there is a common belief
that our people are far away from European culture. But we also have some rules that
define our people. It is proper to drink at least a symbolic amount of wine during a meal or
in a ritual context to honor the host and toast the health of the people present.
Occasionally in villages, toasting with the left hand may not be regarded as proper. It is
also improper to blow one's nose at the table.
BRITISH
According to some researches British people are seen as people who respect the rule of
law, educated and skilled and most important polite and with very good manners.
Although they are also known to be reserved and obsessed with class.
AMERICAN
There are many defining characteristics of American people but we can list the fact that
they are hard working. Overall, this is a good thing. But one could argue that they actually
work too hard, and for too little reward. They understand that hard work equals success.
The Mrior
Now we would like to speak about traditional holidays in
those countries
Moldovan Holiday
Mriorul is an old celebration from Romania and
Republic of Moldova which takes place on 1st day of
March. In this day people give to each other the Mrior
and this way they protect themselves and have a symbol
of friendship and respect. Back in the old days the
Mrior was made from a golden coin with an attached
white and red string, it was worn for 12 days and after
that, girls were putting it in their hair untill the first tree
bloomed. When this happened they were attaching the
Mrior to a tree and using the golden coin they were
buiyng curd.

and cultural traditions, it has long been celebrated in
asecularmanner as well.
American Clothing
American clothing
Although the traditional American clothes should be the redskins
clothing, we are speaking about the U.S.A and we can talk about the
cowboy culture which includes jeans, tuxedos and denim jackets.
The
End
CONCLUSION
In conclusion we can say that our
personal research helped us to learn a
lot of new things, and although the
countries we talked about are far away
from each other there are things that
make us the same people and also we
are all united by our beloved ENGLISH
LANGUAGE.
