and help support the

ILLINOIS LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS

We are asking Western Springs citizens and businesses to support the Illinois Special Olympics. Members of the Western
Springs Police Department will be joining 80,000 law enforcement officers in 50 states and 32 countries in carrying the
Special Olympics flame over 50,000 miles. Thanks to your support of the Torch Run, over 20,000 Illinois residents with
mental and physical limitations will continue to compete in 19 different Olympic-type sports through 175 annual statewide competitions. Please join us and make Special Olympics YOUR charity by Adopting-A-Cop and making a donation
to the TORCH RUN. The Special Olympics Program receives no federal funding and is funded solely by individual and
corporate donations. It is the only solicitation that members of the Western Springs Police Department participate in and
100% of your donation goes directly to fund the athletic programs. Our leg of the Torch Run will start on Sunday,
June 5, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. from the Tower Green (900 block of Hillgrove Avenue). Please join us for the start of what we
hope will be another successful Torch Run for Special Olympics. Donations are accepted at the police department at any
