Your child should have completed most, if not all, of the research for his / her monster project at home. Given time restraints, the project has been slightly altered. Instead of an entire report for the project, your child will present in a presentation. Guidelines are as follows: Description (what does your monster look like?) Location (where can your monster be found?)

Dear Parents/Guardians, The Monster Project that was put on hold due to Pearl Harbor letters needing to be completed first will now resume again. Your child should have completed most, if not all, of the research for his/her monster project at home. Given time restraints, however, the project has been slightly altered. Instead of there being an entire report for the project, your child will present his/her research done thus far in a presentation with others who have researched the same monster. Guidelines are as follows: Presentations should include: Description (What does your monster look like?) Location (Where can your monster be found?) Origin/Relatives (How did the myth of your monster begin? Where was the first sighting? By whom?) Interesting facts (limit to 2)
Possible presentation formats:
Power Point Skit (with or without costumes) Song (originally created by you/group) Poster board Artifact of your monster Drawings Letter format (inform the reader about your monster) *REMEMBER to use figurative language, point of view, etc.
Any presentation formats not listed may be
discussed with Mr. Ford or Ms. Cruz for approval. Presentations should take up no more than 5-7 minutes. Students will have TWO rotation times in class to collaborate with group members. If students need more time, they will need to complete the project outside of school. Students should be ready to present their monster projects by their next rotation cycle after they have had two sessions to work on it at school. If you or your child has any questions or concerns regarding the new expectations of the monster project, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email is tcruz7@email.arizona.edu. You may also contact Mr. Ford through email or school phone. Thank you! Sincerely, Ms. Cruz and Mr. Ford
