B. Plot
‘The main character of the novel, Juan Crisostomo Magsalin Ibarra, returns to the Philippines after living
‘abroad for a few years to complete his studies. Upon his arrival, a party is thrown for him by Kapitan Tiago and he
is also greeted by other important people in society.
