-Student will eliminate negative behavior throughout the school day (behavior chart) -Student will participate in a variety of structured activities by commenting, requesting, and responding with appropriate in formation and manner related to the topic. -Student will improve fine motor and visual motor control and accuracy for greater success and independence in academic activity. Opening: We will go over the parts of the plant (flower, seed, stem, leaf, and root) and their functions. I will draw a flower on the board, the students will help me to label it. Well review the plant functions on the smartboard as the students match their plant cards. Procedure: I will pull up a new smart notebook page on the smartboard. We will discuss the things that plants need to survive. I will go over why a flower needs these things and what plant parts take them in. *Plants make their own food (photosynthesis)
*Roots take in water and nutrients from the soil.
*Leaves take in air and sunlight. Tiered by complexity: Group 1: Students will match plant parts to their function Group 2: Students will match pictures of the plant parts to their written names. One student will be using proloquo2Go Closure/assessment: I will go to students while they are working and ask them the four things that plants need to survive. Materials: matching cards smartboard ipad set up scissors glue worksheets
