Strategies: Close Reading


SOL: 4.5 The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of fictional texts, narrative nonfiction texts, and poetry. ; 4.6 The
student will read and demonstrate comprehension of nonfiction texts.
Objective: After observing teacher modeled close reading, students will independently mark passages to find evidence and prove
their answers using teacher created assessments with at least 80% accuracy.
