Collaborative Task (3)

Hoy trataremos la tercera parte del "Speaking" del First Certificate, que se
denomina "collaborative task".
Si nos has seguido desde hace un par de semanas, recordars que en la primera
parte del "Speaking" el interlocutor te hace preguntas personales tales como
"Where do you live?""What do you do?" Aqu tienes el primer post de esta serie
para prepararte la primera parte.
En la segunda parte, el examinador te har comparar dos fotos y, al final, har una
pregunta sobre las fotos al otro candidato. Aqu tienes informacin para
prepararte la segunda parte del "Speaking".
A continuacin, explicar cmo preparar la tercera parte del speaking.
Tercera parte del "Speaking" (Collaborative Task)
En qu consiste
En esta parte del speaking, el interlocutor pedir a los dos candidatos que hablen
sobre un tema determinado utilizando imgenes, o fotos, para provocar la
conversacin. Hacia al final de la conversacin ambos candidatos deben tomar
una decisin sobre el tema planteado.
Cunto tiempo debes estar hablando.
Unos tres minutos.

Estrategia a seguir
La idea es que demuestres que puedes llevar una conversacin, dando opiniones,
mostrando que ests de acuerdo o en desacuerdo para, finalmente, llegar a un
acuerdo con la otra parte.
Para superar esta parte del examen, debers:
1. Practicar frases que expresen opiniones, ventajas y desventajas, acuerdo y
desacuerdo.
2. Como en las anteriores partes del examen, hablar alto y claro, y evitar decir slo

"si" y "no" y el titubeo.

Consejo: Si el otro candidato tiene un nivel inferior al tuyo y es incapaz de

expresar sus opiniones, incluso cuando le repites la pregunta, t no te calles.
Sigue dando tus opiniones por tu cuenta, para que no de la sensacin de que
t tampoco puedes hablar sobre el tema.

2. Practica con estas imgenes

Lo mejor es que quedes con otro estudiante, o un intercambio, si no tienes
profesor que te prepare.

3. Graba tus frases y compralas con el sonido

real en ingls utilizando un software text-tospeech.
Si no puedes permitirte contar con un profesor que te corrija, es bueno que grabes
(a ser posible con otro compaero que se est preparando el examen) tus frases.
Aqu tienes una pgina donde podrs grabar tus frases. Puedes luego comparar
la pronunciacin utilizando Google Translator. Copia y pega el texto que has
grabado y luego dale al play.

4. Practica, practica y practica

Recuerda que solo cogers soltura con el "Speaking" si dices las frases muchas

veces en voz alta, te aprendes es el vocabulario y las estructura. Por eso, es

necesario que trabajes con muchos ejemplos y a ser posible con un compaero.

Bueno, finalmente hemos llegado a la ltima parte del speaking en el First

Certificate.
Recuerda que hemos hablado en este blog, de otras tres partes:
La primera, introduction. El examinador te hace preguntas personales, tales
como "De dnde eres? A qu te dedicas? Dnde vives?
La segunda, comparing photos. El examinador te hace comparar un par de fotos
a ti y a otro candidato. Al final, de la exposicin de cada candidato, el examinador
har una pregunta al candidato que no ha estado comparando las fotos.
La tercera, collaborative task. El examinador pide a dos candidatos que hablen
entre ellos sobre un determinado tema. No hace preguntas, slo escucha.
Y la cuarta,y ltima, de la que hablaremos hoy, se llama "discussion".
En qu consiste
En esta parte del speaking, el examinador te har una serie de preguntas
relacionadas con un tema especfico.
Por ejemplo:
Topic = Education, Learning

- What do you think it's the best way to study? Cul crees que es la mejor manera
de estudiar?
- What would you like to learn in the future? Qu te gustara aprender en el
futuro?
- Has your education been any different from your parents' education? Ha sido tu
educacin diferente a la de tus padres?
Cunto tiempo debes estar hablando.
Unos cuatro minutos conjuntamente con el otro candidato.

Estrategia a seguir
En esta parte, debes demostrar que sabes contestar preguntas de todo tipo.
Para superar esta parte del examen, debers:
1. Practicar contestaciones a distintos tipos de preguntas.
2. Como en las anteriores partes del examen, hablar alto y claro, y evitar decir slo
"si" y "no" y el titubeo.
Para conseguirlo,

Sigue estos pasos:

presente, present perfect y expresiones con
"would"
El tipo de pregunta que te van a hacer estar generalmente en presente y versar
sobre un tema determinado, que puede que est en conectado con el tema
utilizado para discutir en el ejercicio anterior (collaborative task).
Aqu tienes ejercicios para practicar preguntas respuestas con
interrogativos y "do" y "does", el verbo "to be" en presente y mucho ms.
Cuidado en las preguntas en presente con Do, Does, contestar con el verbo
principal. Se contesta siempre con "do" "does".
Por ejemplo:
Do you work?
Yes, I do.CORRECTO.
No es: Yes, I work. INCORRECTO

Recuerda que es importante que digas las respuestas en voz alta y las repitas,
