We have exciting freelance opportunities for camera operators to
work within BBC studio and post production contributing to the
visual realisation of a multi camera production.
BBC Studios and Post Production is a commercial subsidiary of the
BBC, providing world class studios, post production and digital
media services. It works with media companies and broadcasters,
making award-winning content for a variety of broadcasters - from
Channel 4s Winter Paralympics, ITVs The Chase and Skys A League
of Their Own to BBC Ones EastEnders, The Voice and Strictly Come
Dancing.
Whilst Television Centre is being redeveloped, BBC Studios and Post
Production has relocated its London studio business to Elstree,
where it offers fully equipped HD TV studios and post production
services.
Role Responsibility
Camera Operators would be responsible for rigging, de-rigging and
the preparation of electronic cameras and associated equipment
including line-up. You would also be responsible for checking the
equipments performance and safety.
We are looking for Operators that possess initiative to work without
close supervision and able to offer a creative solution within
production restraints, sometimes away from base.
The ideal candidate
Experience in the multi-camera field is essential and
applicants should list this experience on their CV.
Ability to demonstrate a flexible working relationship with
production. Applicants An objective approach to programme
making, balancing the various needs of the Production Team,
Camera Supervisor and Studio Resources.
A strong sense for picture composition.
A sufficient level of hearing and colour vision. Physical fitness
and mobility are essential.

Job Introduction
A full service video production company are looking for a talented
Videographer/Editor to join the team. Based in Peterborough, the
company creates engaging films, animation and motion graphics for
global brands, SMEs, local authorities, schools and charities. Due to
continued growth, they are looking for a highly talented Camera
Operator and Editor to join the production team and help the
company to move onto the next level.
Role responsibility
You will be a key member of the production team, so prior
professional experience is essential. They will require at least 2ys
industry experience working for either a production company or as a
freelancer.
You will be asked to work on many different projects from initial
brainstorm to final delivery and will be happy to tackle any project
given to you. Candidates should be aware that this role involves
regular travel nationally and on occasion there may be international
travel required.

Headline skills required are: a high degree of knowledge about all


things Great British! You should have strong filming and editing
skills, and be able to work to tight deadlines, as part of a team
committed to the success of an exciting future.
A detailed and thorough understanding of the entire media
communications landscape and an outstanding artistic eye for
photography and the knowledge of film-specific photography
equipment and techniques. The flexibility and problem-solving skills
to handle production are crucial.
