I am writing with regard to the opening for the First Year Teacher position in your school, and

I recently graduated from the Bachelor of Education program at the University of Texas at El
Paso. I have performed above and beyond expectations in both terms of class work and in each
teaching class I was assigned. I have worked at Desert View Middle School for five years as a
Part-Time Tutor. I have also worked at summer/after-school program with the City of El Paso as
a Youth Activity Specialist.

Throughout my experiences Ive learned that being an educator does not only mean being a
teacher but also being their family away from home. I will make sure that to be the best teacher I
can be and keep my children motivated and engaged in their learning. To inspire students in all
aspects of their lives and to be their role model is what I will strive to be. Getting to know the
children on different levels is what I will consider doing each and every time I engage with them.
Entering this career I want to be the affective change in the childs life. I want to promote

positive values and show them that creating goals are the most important aspect of our lives to
achieve what we want to become.

Working with diverse learners in one thing I would be happy to do. I will make sure to have the
same expectations as I do with the other students. The students will receive praise for their effort
to foster motivation to and responsibility for their own learning. Making sure the classroom
arrangement facilitates collaboration learning between students. Also, making sure that grouping
practices are organized in a variety of ways including mixed academic achievement. I will
include learning activities that are connected to the students family and community
backgrounds. I will emphasize communication in the second language learning. Gaining the
students and families trust is the most important aspect to students learning achievement.

Being a hard-working and well-rounded educator, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you
and discuss the extensive, experience, collaboration and innovative classroom skills that would
