Sibundoy putumayo:

En el valle de Sibundoy, a lo largo de la carretera que atraviesa y que une a

Pasto con Mocoa, se encuentran los corregimientos de Santiago, Coln,
Sibundoy y San Francisco. El 90 porciento de la poblacin blanca se ubica en
las cabeceras, mientras que los indgenas viven en la veredas. El principal
corregimiento "blanco" es San Francisco.

Santiago, San Andrs (inspeccin de polica) y Coln estn habitados por

indgenas Inga, que hablan la lengua del mismo nombre, de origen quechua.
Adems se encuentran comunidades Inga en el bajo Putumayo,
especficamente en Yunguillo, Puerto Umbra, en el Cauca (Guayayuco y
Aponte) en el Caquet y Bogot, donde se encuentran unas 200 familias,
algunas radicadas y otras itinerantes. Segn datos de la Divisin de Asuntos
Indgenas (Zambrano, 1985) para estas comunidades, en 1980 se calcula una
poblacin total de 9.285 personas, de las cuales alrededor de 4.000 habitan en
el valle propiamente dicho.

En el municipio de Sibundoy se encuentran localizados los indgenas Kams,

que hablan la lengua Kams y cuya filiacin lingstica no ha sido establecida
de manera satisfactoria. La mayora vive en la parte plana del valle, muy pocos
en el pueblo, donde algunos son dueos de casas que arriendan, tal como
sucede entre los Inga. Un nmero menor habita las partes altas.

De acuerdo con la Divisin de Asuntos Indgenas (Zambrano, 1985) para 1980

se calcula una poblacin Kams de 4,419 indgenas asentados en el valle
propiamente dicho y 317 en el bajo Putumayo en las localidades de Puerto
Umbra y en el rea urbana de Mocoa.
Sibundoy Putumayo:
I sibundoy in the valley, along the road that crosses and connects to Pasto
Mocoa, are the districts of Santiago, Colon, and San Francisco Sibundoy. 90
percent of the white population is located in the headwaters, while indigenous
people live in the villages. The main township "white" is San Francisco.
Santiago, San Andrs (police inspectorate) and Colon are inhabited by
indigenous Inga, who speak the language of the same name, of Quechua
origin. In addition Inga communities are in the lower Putumayo, specifically in
Yunguillo, Puerto Umbria, in the Cauca (Guayayuco and Aponte) in Caqueta and
Bogota, where there are some 200 families, some filed and other traveling.
