GUEST-PASS

Creation:
Steps to be taken in order to create guest-pass in Zone Director interface:
1. create one SSID which is nothing but the wireless network name .
2. Type has to be chosen as Guest Access.
3. Set the desired authentication metnod

4.Now its time to create a ROLE in order to authenticate for Guest Access.

Make sure the WLAN created earlier has been specified so put the checkmark for the respective
WLAN as well as for Allow guest pass generation.
5. Now user has to be created so we enter the username and password. Role needs to be assigned.

6. In a web browser, type the URL which consists ZD ip address , back slash(/) and guestpass written
so it reflects as 192.168.15.70/guestpass.
After entering the URL you will be redirected to the following page. here is the screenshot:

7. Enter the USERNAME and PASSWORD which was created inside the USERS tab to authenticate for
Guestpass.

So now you will have guest information page where you have to enter the following information
given below:
(a)Creation Type : you have single and multiple option to select. for one user single needs to be
selected and for more guests multiple has to be given. here is the screenshot enclosed.
(b)Name: Enter the guest name.
(c)Valid for: select the duration period for guestpass after that guest pass will be expired.
(d)WLAN: select the respective WLAN service for which guestpass is going to be created.
(e)Key: its nothing but the password for the guest which will be used inorder to get the internet
access.
(f)Remark : Here you can enter the info which you want to tell to your guests.

8.Once its done you have to hit Next and you will have the page like that.


Select Guest option and hit NEXT.
Then the page will appear like that:

Now you can print the guest information by hitting the print instructions tab.
Afterthat you will be seeing a page like that. screenshot enclosed.


Since we have generated a Guest passkey for the guest.
For guests all they have to do is to connect with the ssid which is given by the administrator and
enter the password.
Its done.
